Food of Love Day to Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

To celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (May of every year), Alliance of Minnesota Chinese Organizations (AMCO) calls on local Chinese American Communities and friends to join the event –“Chinese American Food of Love Day” proposed by UCA (United Chinese Americans) and US-China Restaurant Alliance.

According to website ((https://asianpacificheritage.gov/), Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have a rich heritage thousands of years old and have both shaped the history of the United States and had their lives dramatically influenced by moments in its history. Every May during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and throughout the year, the National Park Service and its partners share those histories and the continuing culture thriving in parks and communities today.

The event of “Chinese American Food of Love Day” is organized in more than 100 cities across 50 states in America. Amid the pandemic of COVID-19, this is a perfect way to show our love and support to our communities.

Within Minnesota, AMCO will help to coordinate this event and do food drive fundraising and donate food to hospitals, veterans, and food shelters. Please help us support this event. More information about this food drive is available on website shown below.
